Churchland Farm
Churchland Farm, set in twelve acres on the Somerset Levels, offers a tranquil getaway for families, coarse fishers and those seeking cultural pleasures.
The farmhouse dates back to the early 17th century and sits alongside the River Brue. The river bank was originally the site for part of the Somerset Steam Railway until the 1970's when the milk trains ceased running; indeed the original Bason Bridge station platform remains as part of the river walk.
Over the years different families have renovated the farmhouse to its current standard, allowing us the opportunity to rent out an annex of the house as a holiday let and in 2008 we hope to also offer a renovated cottage.
Whilst the farm is no longer a working one, it is home to our dogs and horses and to the occasional sheep which mow our lawns.
